EMBO Awards & Honours

The European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) was founded in 1964 to promote molecular biology in Europe. It aims to foster excellence in the life sciences, support talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of scientific information and help build a European research environment where scientists can achieve their best work. Each year, EMBO selects new members from the best researchers in Europe and beyond, and has a membership of more than 1,700 leading researchers. It helps young scientists through its EMBO Young Investigator Programme, which identifies excellent young researchers who are starting their independent careers.

The following LMB scientists have been recognised by EMBO as members, young investigators or medal winners.
