Ben Luisi

I am a structural biologist in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge, studying RNA metabolism related to the post-transcriptional control of gene expression. I am working with Joe Yeeles’s group on small regulatory RNA access to transcription and translation machinery. I am also collaborating with Matteo Allegretti’s group on multienzyme complexes of RNA metabolism, with Roger Williams’s group on analysing RNA-binding motifs and with Andrew Carter’s group on bacterial efflux pump structure and mechanism. We are working with Lalita Ramakrishnan’s group on mycobacterial efflux machinery and in collaboration with Felix Randow, my group has explored therapeutic oligonucleotides against SARS-CoV‑2.
