Year 12 Rotation Placement

WorkExp Y12 Application

In 2026, we are offering a one-week rotation work experience placement for Year 12 students.

Placement dates: Monday 27th July to Friday 31st July, 09:30 – 16:30

The MRC LMB is committed to nurturing diverse talents. We aim to enable students with an interest in pursuing science-related careers to get hands-on experience of working in a research institute when they may not ordinarily have the opportunity to do so.

Priority will be given to students who are underrepresented in science or do not have connections to research.

Application and selection dates:

  • Applications close: 23:59 on Sunday 1st March 2026
  • Interviews: After school, weeks commencing 16th and 23rd March
  • Placement Confirmation: by mid-end of April

Please note:

Due to limited availability, please be aware that spaces will be competitive and completing an application form does not guarantee a placement.
