Discovering how life works: pioneering revolutionary advances in molecular biology for over 60 years
Research at the LMB seeks to understand major biological processes at the molecular level. Our scientists develop and use methods to visualise and manipulate the molecules of life to discover the fundamental principles that underpin biology. The methods and knowledge from our research allow us and others to tackle major problems in human health and disease.
